this was in my front yard this morning... not really surprised.in 94-96, oceanside had one of the highest gang populations in the nation.
I live on the edge of the ghetto... it's not really that bad,
and I'm by no means racist,
but if you go 2 houses down my street there's like
10 mexicans per 2 bedroom house....
oceanside is a melting pot of people... whites are the minority...
in 2000 we proudly held the highest teen pregnancy rate in the nation as well.
there's even a daycare center attached and on campus at my high school.
I'm so proud to call this place home.
